Social Media Week Berlin

We’re starting off Social Media Week Berlin at the Central Hub with a day dedicated to communication.  Whether you’re a journalist, a blogger, a coworking freelancer or a social content manager, Monday’s Communication Day programming will give you something to sink your teeth into.  Storyful will be discussing journalism and social media through the lens of their social newsgathering portal for journalists.  We’ll be discussing the overwhelming disproportion between male and female contributors to Wikipedia, how making a living from internet activities is increasingly possible with Flattr, and how blogs are like spaghetti – straight until they’re hot.  We’ll learn how to engage young audiences through social media, how social sharing of data can empower communities, and how to take advantage of the ever increasing proximity and access to diverse information.  There will also be a communication workshop with OpenGraph at betahaus, where you can learn how to analyze and interpret mapped user activity across multiple platforms and applications.
